Welcome English II Students!

“You must be the change you want to see in the world.” Mahatma Gandhi’

Dear Students,

Let me start by introducing myself!  I have taught English for the last 20 years and am thrilled to be a Highlander for the 2016-2017 school year.   I have taught English I, II and IV at both the level and PreAP levels.   When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family.  We enjoy traveling and have recently visited Orlando, Florida and Washington D.C.

I look forward to working with each and every one of you this year and am thrilled that we have the opportunity to learn together. The main goal I have for my students is for you all to become independent thinkers who strive for success and the wealth of knowledge the world has to offer. I know we can learn invaluable life lessons from the reflection of themes and human experience found in literature and the exploration of our own lives. I hope you all find your own unique “voice” and are able to express it through your own writings, discussions, and analysis.

I hope you all have a positive and successful year. Remember to always strive to do your best because “Success isn’t permanent and failure isn’t fatal.”  Despite obstacles you may encounter, we can make this year one to remember and be proud of.

Best Wishes,
Mrs. Frank
