Level Classes: Major - 55%, Quiz - 25%, Daily - 20%
PreAP and AP: Major - 60%, Quiz - 25%, Daily - 15%%


Japanese Club will meet every Tuesday after school. Activities and meetings will be held in room 230 on the senior campus. New and returning members are welcome to join us. Please join TWHSJCLUB in Edmodo.  

We participate in various competitions and tests such as Texas Japanese Language Speech Contest, iWOW Festival, Japan Festival (April in Houston), Japan Bowl (April in Washington, D.C.), etc.

Japan Trip / Exchange Program - Every year, we host 20 students from Inage High School in August/September, and 10 - 15 students from other high schools in March/April. Host families will be needed. Please e-mail Masumi Reade at mreade@conroeisd.net if you are able and interested in hosting a Japanese high school student for a week.

Students who are interested in volunteering in northern Honshu as well as traveling around Japan, visiting our partner schools and home staying with Japanese host families during summer of 2016, for 2 weeks, please contact Masumi Reade. The exchange program with Inage will mark its 20th anniversary in 2016!!

Students recited a poem about August 6th in Japanese. NHK (Japan Broardcasting Corporation) filmed us during our visit. The poem recitation and the interview were broadcasted for Japanese audience.

TWHS and TWCP students with the inn keepers at Kosakaso, Oshima, Kesen'numa (Miyagi Prefecture) July 2012. Students were invited to see the tsunami and earthquake disaster areas and two week trip on Kizuna Project by the Japanese Government.

Students who are enrolled in the Japanese Classes should find the link on your left and go to your class in the Edmodo webpage.. There are: TWHSJ1, TWHSJ2, TWHSJ3, TWHSAP classes.

If you have not yet signed up, your group code will be emailed to you or given in class. Be sure to register so you can access important information, resources (website information), and study materials, including your assignments.

Japanese 3 and AP students will be submitting MOST of your assignments to Edmodo this year.
