As addressed in the 09.03.2021 CCC Newsletter, we scheduled a second virtual FAFSA presentation for TONIGHT at 6 pm.

The information about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid will be presented by Lone Star’s Financial Aid Manager Mr. John Denton. While students are welcome to attend, this information can be particularly helpful to parents. When considering whether to complete the FAFSA, it may also be helpful to know that some schools use FAFSA to determine student eligibility for tuition guarantee programs that provide aid  — sometimes even when FAFSA does not (see here for more information).

The FAFSA opens Oct. 1, and families are encouraged to apply as studies by organizations such as Saving for College have indicated that earlier filings are likely to receive more grant offers.

This link will take you to the live, virtual FAFSA presentation at 6 pm tonight (Sep. 15). A recording will be made available for those unable to attend.
