TLDR (1) Any senior who hasn’t submitted applications has a lot of work to do this weekend; (2) at the end of this month there are FAFSA information sessions you can attend (in-person at Caney Creek HS) or virtually; and (3) students should plan to attend our mini-college fair next Thursday during all lunches (it will be set up in the hallways near the cafeteria).

What else is inside?

• Senior college applications: Are you a senior planning to attend a four-year university who has not submitted any college applications? If so, I have some tough truth: You are now officially behind schedule.
  • Most colleges have Early Action deadlines of Nov. 1, which means you should have submitted your application and begun sending supporting documents like transcripts and recommendations.
  • Try not to panic. Go review what you need to do here (in a helpful timeline).

• Mini-College Fair next week
• Next Thursday, Oct. 21 we will have a mini-college fair in the hallways near the cafeteria during all lunches (this event is for current TWHS students only). Representatives from 15 colleges and universities will be available to answer questions about their programs and the application process. This is a great opportunity for not only seniors, but sophomores and juniors as well!
